Mrs. Holly Cwiklinski 1st & 2nd Grade Teacher

Hello from Mrs. Cwiklinski’s Classroom!

Dear Parents,

I am sending our newsletter home today instead of on Friday, as you will need some of this information for our activities at the end of the week.

Our field trip was wonderful, and I wanted to thank those of you who volunteered to drive or to join us on our day.  I truly enjoy getting to know each one of you!  As an extension of our field trip, the children will be making homemade applesauce later this week, as well as investigating pumpkins in our classroom.

This Friday, October 31st, we will have a very busy Halloween day.  We will be having our classroom party in the morning, and after lunch the children will be putting on their costumes to travel to Antler Arms and visit those who live there.  When we return we will head over to the Activity Center for Octoberfest, which is being hosted by the Spirit Club this year.  Instead of bringing money to purchase tickets, the children are being asked to bring in a canned or boxed item to play the games.  Please send your child’s costume, the candy or goody bag they will be passing out to their classmates, and something to hold their treats.  Feel free to stop by anytime during the day!

On November 3rd (next Monday) we do not have school.  This is an in-service day for teachers, and I know the children are looking forward to the day off!   Next Thursday and Friday are each a half day of school, and parent-teacher conferences will be on Thursday.  Please fill out the attached letter and send it back to school as soon as possible.  I will try to accommodate the time you wish to come in for conferences.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Cwiklinski
